1. Fast and Easy!

   Too easy to set up and run. Longest step is calling for receiver first time activation. That was seamless as well, just took longer waiting for it to sincrinize. Got the use as you go option, easy!

   The playmaker is light weight and easy to set up. Couldn't be happier with this system for my RV!

3. Takes a long time to get phone support

   After installing my Playmaker I had to wait 45 minutes on the phon for the Dish helpdesk to answer to walk me thru the steps to activate my acvount. Nevet waited mote than about 10 minutes to activate my Direct TV system. They only have 8 people on duty at their helpdesk on the weekends. Very poor customer service.

   I took this along on a cross country trip in an RV. My RV is wired for an external dish so all I had to do at each location was connect the single 75ohm cable to the Playmaker. i used the dish for my RV app on iphone to know which side of the rv to put the playmaker. My dish receiver is a VIP211k which also has an Off the Air tuner. Perhaps other receivers are faster at populating the menu, but by the time everything else was set up the TV was working.
   
   The picture is superb, same as home, and is a far cry from the fuzzy cable at nearly all RV parks.

   The system cost about a quarter of the DirecTv price. I have DirecTv at home but would pay almost $2,000.00 to get HD TV. The delivery was early. The setup and activation were easy. Be sure to get unobstructed views to the south. Telephone assistance was terrific. Use of the system on my first trip with the boys went off without a hitch. Be sure to hookup antenna directly to receiver.

   So far, so good. Even had to get the antenna replaced, but working fine now.

7. Make sure the Dish RV rep understands where you live in the United States

   Though the first rep at Dish RV was excited to recommend this new Wangard Dish, be aware that it only picks up the West Coast satellites, so if you live in NYS like I do, then the reception could be very low and you may not get all satellites to give you the full HD experience. After being bounced around between Dish and Dish RV, since it appears they do not have a clear path to anywhere together, I should have gotten the next portable satellite dish unit up in price, since it reads both the East and West Coast Satellites. Contacting Dish and Dish RV through customer support on-line is a joke, since I have never received a response from either one. Our Playmaker which was getting barely any signal and after going through hours of phone support from reps from both places, I gave up and decided to open the cover.... here's what I found: Somewhere in shipping the gears became misaligned... so all the grinding noise is now fixed and since the cover was off I could clearly see that the dish searches out the satellites just fine, as a matter of fact it even sees the East Coast ones BUT something within the circuit board or pick up sensor doesnt allow it to use the East Coast satellites, so if you spend another $100 plus more you can get the next level up dish.... fishy isnt it.?.... I now pick up 2 satellites of 3, at about 30 to 40 percent, and the third one it cant read. And YES we have a clear horizon with nothing in the way of seeing South or West. And YES, it is a direct connection from Wally to the Playmaker, and YES the connections are strong, and YES Ive tried the Dish is multiple locations and heights. Turns out this dish is insufficient for living South of Buffalo, and good luck finding someone is Dish Land that can connect you to a rep that can handle exchanging or finding other cost efficient solutions. WE are not pleased as punch yet, but the Dish does work, and would work perfectly if it was allowed to use the East Coast Satellites, as well as the West Coast ones.

8. Great for Tailgating

   Bottom Line - Great product that I would very much recommend. Words of wisdom . . . If possible, do not wait until GameDay to set up and activate the receiver and antenna. I was on the phone for about an hour being transferred to various people/numbers to get the system setup and activated. And, although you may see antennas on the ground and lifted only slightly above ground, have a plan in place for the antenna to be table high (or higher). This was an issue for us and it caused a delay in setup. That being said . . . after setup, the addition of satellite to our tailgate is fantastic!

   I was looking for something that I could watch dish network anywhere and at a reasonable price. When I called Dish Network and I could get these items together and save money it was what I was looking for. The items came and were easy to setup. Called Dish got the Wally activated and everything is working perfectly. I am very satisfied with the products and the assistance that Dish representatives helped me with. They told me of an app that I could get a signal sent if system is off for a while. Very satisfied with all the products.

    Works great after initial setup. Thought I had a bad cable or Wally till I went to diagnostics and saw I was getting a good signal. After a call to dish advanvced diagnostics the Wally needed a software update. After that worked like a charm. Also got the dvr. One downside is you cannot watch tv and record at the same time. Its one or the other. It would be nice if they could upgrade. Otherwise works great with my camper

    The dish and receive did exactly what it was supposed to do. Once activated, the dish automatically found a signal and we had crystal clear signal immediately. The only issue was that we could only get our local channels in HD during the day, at night they would only come in as SD. The only downside to my experience is, I ordered the product 2 weeks ago and already DishTV has it on sale for $50 less than what they sold it to me. It is very discouraging for that to occur.
