There are also accessories available that you may need, such as an external hard drive to use the DVR and record your favorite shows. Of course you’ll need a TV – either standard or high definition TV’s will work. If you want to watch high-definition (HD) television, you’ll need a HD television set.

External Hard Drive: this allows you to activate the DVR functionality of the set-top (ViP211k)

Connection cables:

RG-6 – Weather sealed coax to your satellite antenna to your receiver

HDMI - if you would like to use HDMI to connect to your TV, you will need to purchase a cable to do so
